In order to paint, you first of all need to have all things organized and make a tool station. Have your choice of paints and paint brushes and roll on sponges handy. You will need more than one brush or a roll on for the paint to be smooth. So, have them all ready long with some thinner. Painting of the house cannot be done in one day so do not be over ambitious about it. Cover the floor area with newspapers or plastic sheets so that the flooring is secure. Tape the plastic from corner to corner in order to secure the sheets firmly to the ground.

Keep one whole day for the preparation and before that make a complete list of things you can get for the painting. The room should be empty before you start the painting project and also you will need a ladder. Do not paint over the existing paint. You might need to scrape off the problem areas in the wall and give them an even coat. Then start panting from the top first. Paint always drips down and you can finish the wall better if you start top first. Have a daily cut off time or it can get very tiring and you may lose interest in it.
