Man’s constant conquest of how the universe has come into existence has led to an explanation like the big bang theory. The universe is vast and coming to a conclusion of how the universe formed is a very difficult task. There is uncountable number of stars in the galaxies and coming to a conclusion about all these is not possible. |
However, the popular theory is that the Big Bang theory could have happened nearly 13.7 billions years ago. Most people seem to think that the Big Bang theory means there was one big explosion which led to the formation of the universe.
However the possible explanation is that there was a huge cloud or a balloon of a cloud that was releasing small objects into the universe which alter formed stars and planets. The cloud was releasing huge masses of gas.
Astronomers believe that the universe started with a very small particle which had a miniscule size. This miniscule particle expanded for several billions of years and formed a cloud. So it was basically an inflating could. The gravitational force of the cloud due to its weight became so heavy that it started releasing smaller parts into the universe.
Physicists even believe that time started with big bang. Until 19th century, several people believed that the universe has a fixed size. Today, we know that the universe has no size and it can get bigger. Basically the universe is an expanding place. Though the Big Bang theory happened several billions of years ago the changes are taking place even today in the infinite universe.
