Facts About Milky Way

The Milky Way is a spiral galaxy and is also considered as the most beautiful galaxy in the universe. The Milky Way has huge arms that sweep the central part and also has a bulge of glowing stars. It looks like a white stream of milk is flowing and is ignited by stars. There are several spiral features and even weird looking objects in the Milky Way.

There is even a rectangular block of stars and the astronomers call it block a bar.

At the very middle of the Milky Way is a monstrous super massive black hole. The stars revolve around this black hole at amazing speeds and they are not falling within because of gravity.

The Milky Way itself seems very huge but our galaxy is much bigger than that including the Milky Way. Scientists have been trying to find out why that specific part of the galaxy called the Milky Way is so beautiful and uniquely made.

Another interesting fact about the Milky Way is that it is billions of years away and more than 250 billions of years. So the light that we are seeing from the Milky Way has been traveling for such a long time. However the Milky way for all its beauty is one of the most violent of stars in the galaxies. The Milky Way is not the only adjacent galaxy to ours and there are many others. Despite of having so much knowledge about the Milky Way we all still know very less about it and that is less than 0.00003 percent of it.
