The constant discoveries or inventions can be attributed to the several of the branches of biology. Right from the study of bacteria to human beings is all covered by the various branches of biology. |
Here are some current events that have been occurring in the field of biology.
Recently, scientists have discovered that human hair can be used as plant food. Until now plants and animals were being used in many ways to make medications, or in ways that would benefit human kind. For the first time a value for human hair has been found.
Recent data gathered by scientists shows that the effects of ozone pollution is being seen in trees too. The growth of trees has fallen considerably, by a 7 percent margin due to the levels of pollution. The trees that were studied were conifers, which tend to grow tall.
There has been a lot of pressure on saving fuels and conserving the fossil fuels. However, now scientists have found that hydrogen gas can be used to make electricity. They have also found a way to make hydrogen using ethanol.
In marine biology, it was found that fish can excrete calcium carbonate, which can balance the sea water acidity. Also, with the increase of temperature in sea water, the fish will also start releasing more calcium carbonate.
Finally, there is a cure for AIDS now through bone marrow transplant.
