Botany is the branch of biology that studies plants, and their life cycle. It is called phytology. Right from fungi to traditional plants are studied under this science. The discoveries in botany include the chemical and physical properties of plants, the evolutions of various species of plants, and the extinction of some. People who study botany are called botanists.

Zoology is the study of animals. All living creatures including human beings are studied in this part of science. This branch of biology studies the organic structure of living beings, right from their cell stage to how they develop.
