Who Developed The Periodic Table ?

The periodic table was developed by a Russian chemist called Dmitri Mendeleev. He was a chemist and scientists who specialized in studying composition, structure and properties of matter. In a periodic table, the chemical elements are set according to their numbers. These numbers are called atomic numbers.

Elements are the purest form of a substance, and they cannot be broken down further. They will have the basic number of atoms and they cannot be divided further. However the chemical properties change with the addition of atoms and these chemicals or elements also attain a different state in such a case. The atomic number denotes the number of protons present in the atomic nucleus. Mendeleev was one of the first people to illustrate this in a form of a table.

Ever since Mendeleev found the way to organize the chemical elements known to him in a table, it has become extremely easy for the world to refer to chemical elements. Now we look at the chemical elements in a different ay and also it is very simple and easy to remember them. It is one of the biggest tools for research in chemical fields. He also was nominated for a Nobel Prize for his priceless contributions. However, this particular contribution was recognized only fifty years later. Then the 101 numbered elements were named as mendelevium honoring him. Initially the periodic table found as per Mendeleev arranged chemicals asked on their atomic weights. The modern table is arranged as per their atomic numbers.

However, his contribution to chemistry was only recognized some 50 years later when the hundred and first element was named after him. This element was mendelevium.
