A motorcycle is fun to drive, and it gives on-the-edge entertainment to several people. In the United States, men and women both have equal participation in riding a motorcycle. You even see them going on long country tours. However, owning a motorcycle in the United States is more for a passion than necessity, unlike a car. |
Also, several people are apprehensive about using one because of the dangers it poses in the event of accident. A motor cycle is not an easy vehicle to drive when it rains or snows. So, one has to have the skills of handling it.
First of all, wear a helmet when you are about to learn how to drive a motorcycle. This is very important as it can save your life in case of an accident. To handle a motorcycle, you should know how to balance on it. The important thing is not to fall off the sides, and you should be able to hold the motorcycle up in one position. Also, riding needs confidence. Before you venture out directly on to the roads, practice handling the bike on an empty ground. This is the time to learn how to change the gear using your foot, which is something most learners find difficult to master in the beginning. Once you are confident about the bike and you are able to maneuver and make runs, then you start riding the bike on the roads.
A motor bike can go very fast, but it is important that you respect the speed limits and always stay within them without breaking any traffic rules. Begin as a slow rider, and then experiment with speeds.
