Economics, such a simple word used by all everyone at some point of time or another. |
So do we exactly understand what economics is? Most people relate economics with the over all financial situation of a country, or with inflation and unemployment or tax and policies. However, the fact is that all these topics are indirectly related to the subject, but none of them is what defines economics.Economics is how a person or a country chooses to use the resources available, so as to stay in measurable profit. Resources could mean labor, time, knowledge and talent in the human sector, among other things are buildings, equipment, actual resources etc. The important aspect is how you utilize these resources to make useful products and provide helpful services.
Basically, economics is the study of resources, production, income, expenditures, tax and other financial aspects. It could be at an individual level, wherein you study the finances of a particular person or enterprise, also known as micro economics. Or, it could be at a large scale, such as studying the finances of an entire country, the various policies adopted by it, etc.
Even though studying economics at an individual level or at a national level is something most people do, economics is an interdependent subject. As in you need to understand the working of every individual, every country and then the entire global economic situation, only then can you truly make sense of it. It is essential to study the entire cycle before trying to understand a small part of it.
