Why Do We Study Economics ?

Economics is the systematic study of the allocation and consumption of resources by individuals and countries.

There are two main branches. Economics is divided into micro-economics and macro-economics.The study of economics is a very interesting topic. Eventually, one will realize that when we study economics we do not really study the resources (for example, money) under consideration. Instead, what we are actually concerned with is human behavior. For example, an individual’s thought process when he wants a certain good, and then consumes it a topic to be studied under micro-economics.
