Here are some of the advantages of Islamic law:

• Everyone under this law should have free and equal access to basic amenities such as food, water, electricity, gas, clothes and shelter irrespective of whether they are Muslims or non-Muslims. If a Muslim is seen violating the rights and freedom of a non-Muslim within the country, he will be punished severely for causing distress and hardship to his fellow citizen.
• The government has no rights to collect taxes from the public. This includes taxes collected for education purposes, infrastructure purposes, import and export licenses, road tax, sewage rates and fiscal fees among others. The costs for these services have to be taken up by the country or State. Its citizens should not be burdened financially for these services.
• Muslims have to pay a yearly tax in the form of Zakat, which is mandatory in Islam. A specific percentage of the person’s income has to be donated to the State’s Islamic treasury. This money will be used up for providing services to the poorer sections of the society.
• Non-Muslims have equal rights to stay in an Islamic land/country/kingdom, provided they pay the Jiziyaa or income tax to the Government
• The Jiziyaa is lesser than the Zakat money.
• Oil, gas, petrol and coal cannot be sold at exuberant amounts because these are earth’s resources and therefore cannot be exploited.
• Gambling, drugs, fornication, prostitution, adultery and alcohol, are considered major ills in the society and are not entertained in any way or form. The offenders are punished seriously for violating society and family values.
• Education should be provided free of cost to all sections of the society irrespective of gender, race, ethnicity, language, color or religion.
