Metaphysics is considered to be a branch of philosophy. It studies the core concepts of human existence and attempts to explain how humans came into being. It also explains the fundamentals of nature and the being of the world. These things cannot be defined easily because it lacks proof. The theory and its values can never be substantiated with evidence. |
It is a branch of science and philosophy that tries to explain basic things like what exists and what it is like. A person who studies metaphysics is called a metaphysicist or even a metaphysician. This person tries to understand the world, its existence, possibilities and causality.
A very crucial part of metaphysics is ontology. In this particular study, the relationship in the category of being in the world and how it relates to each other is studied. Several scientific queries were addressed through metaphysics in the world. However, as technology grew, several questions are being answered with the help of technology and there is no requirement of philosophy here.
Metaphysics is also called as natural philosophy because it studies the transformation of human beings in various aspects. The world has changed today and the dependence on philosophy is much lesser. The philosophy of metaphysics is to explain how to address the most basic problems that human beings tend to face. Metaphysics is very complicated in its true nature to understand because it questions a lot of things. Some we know and many we do not know of. So, basically metaphysics is a non-empirical format of understanding the nature.
