When two moving vehicles collide, they end up in a collision. This collision is often referred to as an accident. The result of an accident is often scary because when two objects moving at a fast speed collide with each other, the result is often explosive. There are several factors described by physics that come into play. One of them is velocity. |
Collision is studied using the laws of physics by automobile manufacturers, and this helps them to learn how to making automobiles as safe as possible for drivers. The answer lies in stopping the damage or the force from occurring. Based on these laws, several preventive measures have been created like installation of airbags in the car that deploy when a collision takes place. Also, the amount of damage in the minimum time of collision is measured. This means the amount of force is calculated, and what kind of damage the force can create is studied. Later on the manufacturers would invent newer ways to combat the force and reduce the damage. Physics is very helpful in inventing these newer principles where the damage as a result of force can be reduced. Airbags so far have been very effective in saving many lives in a collision.
Automobile collisions kill thousands of people every year. Automobile manufacturers are at the same time trying to make the car as safe to drive as possible by installing automatic controls and even damage prevention items in the car. However, so far there is nothing yet invented that can stop damage from occurring as a result of a collision.
