It is a well known knowledge that HIV is a sexually transmitted disease and people can only get infected from another HIV positive person. People get this killer disease when they have unprotected sex. Also, having too many sexually partners increase the risk of HIV. It was also found that most of the patients have contracted the disease from outside the US while traveling.

Several tourist places in the world are known for the sex workers. Even in places like American Samoa and Northern Mariana Islands sex workers are common. When people have unprotected sex, it can be very bad and cause AIDS. AIDS means acquired immune e deficiency syndrome and the disease attacks the immune system. In a short period of time, the immunity is completely destroyed and the person becomes prone to diseases. The lack of support within the body system is the main cause for the death in people.

In 2006, the statistics identified nearly 56,000 new cases of HIV. Also, the prevalence was higher in African Americans and bisexual people. More than sex workers it is bisexual people who are more prone to AIDS. HIV is a virus and may be present in the body but when it is infected then it causes disease like AIDS.
